Jiu-Jitsu is about achieving a maximum effect with a minimum amount of effort by using leverage and balance to your advantage.


Jiu-Jitsu utilizes the principles of Physics and a knowledge of Human Anatomy, making it possible to overcome an attacker with as minimum effort as possible.


A wide range of Jiu-Jitsu techniques are available to the student including strikes, joint locks, throws, submissions, ground defense, take-downs and pressure points.


Size, strength and flexibility are not essential factors for becoming proficient in Jiu-Jitsu as it does not rely on a person's brute strength. However, fitness and health are areas that should be important to everyone.

Jiu-Jitsu helps develop a strong spirit. Individuals with strong spirit will develop the strength in mind to succeed in life.

Our style of Jiu-Jitsu combines both stand-up and ground defense skills, defense against weapons and developing a mindset to cope with high stress situations are also considered as very important aspects. We focus an Self Defense as opposed to competitive Jiu-Jitsu although many concepts are very similar, the biggest difference is that many of our so called "dirty tactics" would not be allowed in any arena.

Students develop skills through Jiu-Jitsu to deal with any situation by quickly assessing a situation and deciding on the best action to take. This includes avoiding, diffusing and escaping a situation when necessary.
